Beauty, Love and Leadership
My awareness practice over the last month has been to stop once a day, and notice beauty, love and leadership around me. Through this practice, I hope to exhibit more of these qualities myself, and to live in a world that is beautiful, loving, and well led. Doesn’t that sound good to you?
I saw beauty today. My friend Charisse sent me some beautiful examples of countertop materials. She obviously loves her work. When I am ready to update my kitchen countertops, I should talk to her, and bring some of that beauty to my home. Visit Charisse’s design site here.
I saw love today. My friend Jason loves being a Toastmaster. I heard him give his tenth speech today – he is on fire about the potential growth from our educational program. Jason has just earned an educational award for his effort. You might call his enthusiasm “passion” and you would be right. I think passion is an expression of love; Jason showed me that his life would never be the same because of Toastmasters, rock on Jason. This was an act of love.
I saw leadership today. I am working on a book idea with several friends. My friend Russ returned my map of the book idea with powerful new insight. Russ, you are a creative, dynamic thinker. I am in awe. This was leadership.
