A guiding question

Do you have a guiding question to help you anticipate your career change? A guiding question is an internal challenge that helps you direct your thinking toward the future. With a number of unknown factors to process, the guiding question can help you focus on important choices, and discard distractions. If you are planning to open a financial services firm, perhaps your question will be, “How am I uniquely qualified to help my clients?” The question will direct your thinking to sharpen your working strengths, and help you tell your story to your clients.

While in the research stage, develop a guiding question to challenge you. The question may act as your internal mentor, prodding you to achieve your best.
The guiding question can help you to say “yes” and “no” to various alternatives. Stay tuned to your heart and inner purpose, and ask your guiding question. When you find that you are uncertain about the right choice, turn to your guiding question. Pause, and listen.

Have you thought about changing your career? I would like to know more about your plans. Send me a note.
