Reasons I am thankful

We celebrated Thanksgiving day with a big feast at my house.  Although I'm not a turkey-eater, I did enjoy a big meal with wine and apple pie. As I smiled in life's bounty through the day, here are some reasons that I am grateful this season.

  • My wife remains cancer-free after five years of treatment.  Her cancer has not returned for over seven years.
  • My son plans to enter Arizona State University in 2010, and has the drive to expand his education.
  • My daughter is smiling and laughing more this year than last year.
  • My mother and father are still living, and remain healthy without pain.
  • I have a compelling career vision that pulls me forward.
  • My bass clarinet is making beautiful music, when I take the time to rehearse!

Earlier this week, I heard the message that "gratitude multiplies one's blessings." I could expand my reason for thanks far beyond this short list.  I hope your joy and freedom expands with mine.
