A leader and a transformational idea.

Quick, think of a famous leader.  What was the idea that this leader promoted?

For `Winston Churchill, the idea was "Britain shall endure."

For the Beatles, the idea was "Love is all you need."

For Mother Theresa, the idea was "I see the love of God in all people."

Whenever you think of a famous leader, there is always a powerful message, often one that can be simplified in a few words.  What did Martin Luther King Jr. say to the world? Wasn't his idea a simple one with transformational consequences?

Powerful ideas can change people, move armies, build empires, open hearts.  The idea does not need to be complicated, in fact it will probably be more effective if it is simple - and repeated many times.

Ideas are plentiful.  Don't try to make yours complicated, just make sure your values are in accord with what you are promoting. Are you ready to stand behind a transformational idea, and be its spokesperson? Congratulations, you are in leadership school.  You may never graduate, however you will be in excellent company.  I celebrate people like you who make this world a better place through your talk and your action.
