Sakura praise

Cherry blossom brings

Pleasant anticipation

Of lengthening days.  ~ haiku from unknown author

Sakura is the Japanese word for "cherry blossom." Last week, I returned from Japan. This trip was planned for over two years. My family and I enjoyed this journey to the land of the rising sun.  We visited Himeji, Takayama, Shirakawa-Go, and Kyoto.

The trip to Japan was a big goal for me, a lifetime goal. I worked on this goal with my mastermind group, and I was determined to make it happen!  Now, I am so happy that I did this. Do you have a big goal that you would like to reach? The big goals can inspire us, and encourage us to go even farther.

This picture was taken at the Silver Pavilion in Kyoto, a Zen Buddhist temple known locally as Ginkaku-ji, a national treasure. Read more about the Silver Pavilion here.

Sakura is the Japanese word for cherry blossoms. Our trip to Kyoto coincided with the annual floral celebration of the beauty of cherry blossoms. I felt joyful to view spiritual and ancient places surrounded by the spring sakura colors.
