A transformative relationship

Great leaders do not stand alone. They are connected with people who believe in them. The transformative relationship is one where two or more people, potential leaders, create a connection that meets at intellectual, spiritual, and emotional levels, with an investment in supporting each other’s growth. You will find in this relationship a purity of intentions, an interest in helping the other person succeed without promoting one’s self-interest.

Many achievement and personal growth authors have written about mastermind groups. The most recent published source on mastermind relationships was in the book Three Feet From Gold (2009), by Lechter and Reid. I think that an interpersonal vibration is created when this kind of relationship is supported. Each person contributes value to the relationship, and each can draw strength from the insight and experience of the others. This sounds metaphysical, however I know that I feel lifted when I connect with people selflessly. A synergy between talented people creates favorable opportunities when kindred spirits work together.

Do you seek transformation? Calmly proceed from your center, aware of your values, and connect with other great spirits. Understand that big change may unfold in small stages. Put your attention to the service of worthy fellows, and engage. Your transformation will naturally evolve as you serve others, and they attend to your needs at the right time.
