The kernal for transformation

A stone shrine in Kyoto, April 2010

If the career changer has an idea of great potential, that idea may serve as the kernel for transformation. Powerful ideas change individuals.  Once infected with a vision of great potential, people tend to share it with others. In this way, the career changer may unintentionally “stumble” into the leader’s role. The combination of a transformational idea expressed as a vision, and the act of connecting with others regularly may be enough to establish a person as an emerging leader.

Once enough followers accept the leader’s idea and vision, a community starts to coalesce.  The career-changer may not have intended to build a community; nevertheless, a transformational idea can reorder social relationships. Leaders proceed on their life quest by serving the power of the vision.
